Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between aluminium and stainless steel water bottles?
Aluminium bottles are lighter and more affordable, making them practical for large corporate orders and events. Stainless steel bottles are more durable, often double-wall vacuum-insulated for temperature retention, and give a more premium finish — better suited to executive gifting.
Is it safe to drink from aluminium or stainless steel water bottles?
Yes. Our aluminium and stainless steel bottles are BPA-free and food-grade. Stainless steel is naturally non-reactive; our aluminium bottles use a food-safe lining, standard practice for drinkware in this material.
What should i look for in a metal water bottle supplier?
A reliable supplier should offer both aluminium and stainless steel options, multiple branding methods suited to metal surfaces, and no forced minimum order for smaller runs. We offer 45 metal styles from R80 to R453, with laser engraving, pad printing, and screen printing available depending on the bottle.
How much do branded metal water bottles cost?
Prices range from R80 to R453, depending on material and construction. At the entry level, the Altitude Braxton Aluminium Water Bottle (500ml, single-wall) is R80 — a practical option for high-volume giveaways. At the premium end, the Alex Varga Borealis Stainless Steel Vacuum Water Bottle (700ml, double-wall vacuum-insulated) is R453, suited to executive gifting where insulation and finish matter. Which branding method works best for a metal water bottle, and which logo types suit each method?
The right method depends on your logo's complexity, colour count, and whether you need personalisation:
- Laser engraving — best for simple, single-colour logos, wordmarks, and text. Produces a permanent, etched mark directly into the metal surface. This is also our recommended method for personalisation, such as individual names or initials on each bottle — ideal for staff gifts or event delegate bottles.
- Pad printing — best for smaller, detailed logos with fine lines, suited to curved surfaces like a bottle's body. We can do up to 4 colours generally, depending on the style.
- Screen printing — best for bold, simple, wider designs with one colour, and larger order quantities where cost-efficiency matters.
- Direct to Product Printing — full-colour or detailed artwork printed permanently onto the bottle's surface using UV inkjet technology. Durable branding suited to logos with gradients, multiple colours, or photographic detail. Hand wash only.
- UV DTF — full-colour artwork printed onto film and applied as an adhesive transfer. A cost-effective option for detailed, full-colour designs and personalisation, but hand wash only — not suited to dishwashing or heavy daily use.
Not sure which method suits your logo and durability needs? Send us your artwork and we'll recommend the best fit for your bottle style, budget, and how the bottle will be used.
Whats's the minimum order quantity for metal water bottles?
There is no minimum order quantity. We can custom brand 1 bottle or thousands — unlike some suppliers who require a minimum spend.
